No Cross No Crown

This beautiful chunky frame has pearl buttons at each corner. Delicate foliage encircles the cross. The crown remains yellow though certainly faded from its original shade. 

A homily familiar to Victorians, this phrase is the title of William Penn's discourse on faith written in 1668-9 while imprisoned in the Tower of London for his religious convictions.
