In excellent condition with minimal staining, this motto shares design features with Motto 138, “ Forget me Not,” using a ribbon like scroll as background to draw attention to the text. Both mottos are visually complex with a variety of stitches.

Hands stitched in opalescent white thread stand out against the coarser wools. The motto’s reverse shows the original saturated royal and cerulean blues, purples, oranges and chaos of crossed stitches.

Sun has imprinted the motto design against the manila paper that backed the motto within it's frame.

Would this motto be stitched as a memorial for someone deceased one or as a keepsake among living friends and loved ones?
